Tip #1 - Check if you are using the right needle for your sewing machine


Sewing machine needles comes in different models and sizes. You can not use the same needle for an industrial sewing machine and a domestic sewing machine. Always check that you are using the right needle for your sewing machine to avoid any issue can be caused by the needle. Tip #2 - Are you oiling your sewing machine regularly ?


As I always say to my clients "Oiling a sewing machine is as essential for its maintenance as drinking water is for the human body". Its very important to oil your sewing machine regularly. I advise to oil your sewing machine once every one or two months.

The most important parts to oil in a sewing machines are, the needle holder and the bobbin. Always make sure you are using the right oil for your sewing machine.

It is always better to sew on a spare piece of fabric after oiling your sewing machine. Sometimes a little oil drops can accidentally find its way into the sewing machine.

Tip #3 - Clean your sewing machine regularly!


As oiling your sewing machine is very important, cleaning your sewing machine is important as well. Clean your sewing machine from dust by using a brush or an air puff. DO NOT USE WATER to clean your sewing machine at all.

  1. first check the power cable if it is securely plugged into your sewing machine and the wall outlet. (Please do this cautiously).

  2. If your sewing machine has an on/off switch, make sure it is set to "ON" after plugging in the power cable.

  3. Always switch your sewing machine off and unplug it completely after you finish using it


Tip #5 - Thread cutting on my sewing machine


If the thread is cutting on your sewing machine continuously while you are sewing, you have to check these 3 things.

  1. Check the thread type you are using on your sewing machine. Some threads are considered as low quality and might lead to thread cutting while you sew on your sewing machine.

  2. Make sure you are using the right thread size with the right needle size. If you are using a thick thread, make sure to use a bigger needle size.

  3. Make sure that the thread is not getting stuck anywhere on your sewing machine, and that you thread your sewing machine correctly according to the guide.
